Space Agencies
If there was a contest for who is the most t famous space agency in the world it would likely be NASA with SpaceX as a close second. It makes sense that these agencies would be the most popular, just looking at the feats they have accomplished and what they plan to do is more than enough to give them the top spots. Let's start with NASA.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration otherwise known as NASA is the space agency that we all know; they put a man on the moon, they're partially responsible for the ISS, they built and launched the Hubble space telescope, and had a hand in a plethora of other scientific discoveries.
One of NASA's recent accomplishments was the construction and deployment of theJames Webb Space Telescope(JWST). The JWST is an infrared telescope that was constructed to expand the field of cosmology by taking images of galaxies and celestial objects that were formed in the early universe. These images would either confirm or modify the standard model. Which is the mathematical model and description for the universe.
The data collected by the JWST can lead to more knowledge about dark matter, dark energy, the shape of our universe, and the events that occurred shortly after the big bang.
SpaceX's achievements are less impressive than NASA, which has been running for significantly longer, but impressive nonetheless. What makes SpaceX different from other private space companies is its ambitious goals. SpaceX aims to have a million people on Mars in the near future and do it with their reusable rockets such as the Falcon 9, falcon heavy, and especially the Starship.
Of course this colonization process would need a starting base, a simple Mars base that would have the utilities and necessities for human life.
In fact, NASA is doing something similar to SpaceX by creating a moon base at the same time SpaceX aims to build a Mars base. This slightly more practical mission is known as the Artemis mission, which has seen many recent developments.
